Welcome to Banana Republic

Everyone knows the term banana republic and sometimes you really feel like living right there. Corruption and venality everywhere you look and only because some middle American states like Honduras, Panama or Nicaragua want to export their in millions produced bananas.

They’ve gotten under the influence and control of the great companies, whose economical power is way greater and more efficient than the political power of these country’s governments. This is, of course, a negative development of our history, producing even more banana republics than we really need. Got banana?

I´m on the market. Buying bananas.

Magic with banana

For all those magicians among you and all the other charlatans, there is now a Swiss magicshop that sells the Sponge Bananas by Alan Wong. Maybe for next carnival or Halloween and if not, then you can still try making two bananas of one. Abracadabra, I want a banana.

Blue Bananas

Bananas don’t have to be yellow. Sometimes you’ll even find blue ones. You can check them out in a Livejournal community where you can discuss movies of every kind all night long. Now say again that bananas are only there to feed your babies.

Crimson Pineapple

Take: One long drink glass. Put some ice cubes into the prepared shaker and add 2 cl of pinapple juice, 8 cl of sour cherry juice and 8 cl of banana juice. That’s it already. A pineapple slice, a banana slice and a cocktail cherry help decorate your drink. A sia saide!
