Take your banana to bed!

No! Not that way! Geez! I’m talking about the banana’s ability to give us a good night’s rest. Thanks to the amino acid Tryptophan we can easily “glide” into sleep, while another amino acid, Tyrosin, let’s us sleep very sound. There’s an easy explanation for that. From the Tryptophan, our body produces the sleeping hormone Melatonin. You sure have heard of that one, right? Don’t be scared to OD on too much banana before you go to sleep, though, because I’m sure no matter how hard you try, you won’t eat enough banana to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
