Did you know, that some Hamburger fruit importers founded the Hamburg-Columbia Banana AG on the 23rd of June in 1910 which bought a 525.000 D-Mark license for some territory in Columbia? One of the main stockholders in this corporation was Hapag. Got quite an exciting history, those bananas, eh?
