All Banana in Braunschweig

The 1. BDSV Propper-Banane e.V. from Braunschweig is the biggest dart club in Lower Saxony. Now let’s just hope the members didn’t learn to shoot jungle-esque.

Bananas only have one life

A banana plant only carries fruits once in her life and dies afterwards. Only by tillering it’s possible to create new shrubs, which can rise up to 6 meters high.

There’s No Banana In Dole

Did you know that Dole is not only one of the largest banana producer in the world, but also a city in the French department Jura? Yeah, you didn’t, did cha? They even had a university there, from 1431 until 1481. But alas, no banana. That’s why they probably closed it again. The university, that is.

Beauty by bananas

Tired and exhausted? Sleepy and everyone can see? This could help you. Take a banana, a soft and yellow one. Mix it with 100g of curd and put that cement on your face. Let it sink in for 10-20 minutes, then rinse off with warm water. This helps against wrinkles and tired skin. Unless you already look like a total loss, then this won’t help you and you’re better off eating the banana.

Avocado-Banana-Apple-Cocktail

Take: One fancy glass. Then grab the shaker and feed it some crushed ice, a third of a ripe avocado, half a ripe banana, 10 cl of apple juice, 2 cl of lemon juice and 2 cl of sugar syrup. Of course only after you’ve mixed the ingredients with a mixer. Cause there’s none in a shaker, heh. As soon as it’s bright green and foamily, fill it into the shaker and mingle with the ice.
This is a great tasting, non-alcoholic and fruity cocktail. Healthy as well. Go vitamins! Prost!

Walking tall despite bananas

How much roast pork and sauerkraut a German eats per year is top secret. But if you ask about healthy stuff, say, like the banana, you’ll hear all that you need: About 18 kilo (that’s 40lb) is what the average German eats in a year. How those Germans keep walking upright is a mystery.

The role of the banana in paradise

Did you know, that the biologically correct term for the banana is actually paradise fig? (It’s not in English, though. This is only translated). This explains that thingy with Eve’s fig leaf when she tried to save herself from Adams banana. Uhm. Or something like that anyway.
